We incorporate exhibitions from local individuals and organisations that fit in and around 3 Mary Street whilst keeping the office fully functioning as an Architect’s practice.

Our current exhibition, Made In Birmingham, is in partnership with Birmingham Architectural Association (BAA).

Birmingham is such a diverse city with so many different people, places and spaces all existing in close proximity; we can’t fail to be inspired by it. It has seen many changes; some for the good and some for the bad. With regionalism and local identity high on the public agenda it’s time to investigate and celebrate the architectural diversity that makes Birmingham so special.

What’s your favourite building or public space in Birmingham?

Students from Birmingham School of Architecture, along with BAA asked architects across the region the same question. Made In Birmingham is a collection of answers to that question.

Come and take a look at what the experts in the region think about Birmingham’s buildings and spaces and tell us whether you agree!

We are a working office, so if you would like to come and take a look, please drop us a line or give us a call first on 0121 233 1818.

PAST EXHIBITIONS:

Our last exhibition was an opportunity to showcase the wealth of talent we have here at Bryant Priest Newman. The work of 3 of our members of staff who are also studying Architecture at BCU was displayed in our foyer and meeting room.

Birmingham Photospace ran Birmingham’s People at Birmingham’s Artsfest Festival in 2009.   In 2010 our office became an interesting backdrop for this exhibition of photos which has also appeared at The Drum in Aston.  Birmingham’s People is currently on display at the We Are Birmingham shop in Dale End.

Over the Summer of 2009, our offices became the temporary home of “Land Grab”, an exhibition by Sally Payen. There are some photos of the exhibition at Sally’s Blog.

Previous exhibitions have included work by Sharon Steingold and Justin Wiggan. Rob Colbourne’s work is on permanent display in our loading bay and throughout the building.

We are always on the lookout for new and emerging artists or photographers to exhibit their work within our premises. For more information, please contact Lorna Parsons.
