We have a collaborative approach to the way we work. We believe that designing buildings, places and spaces should be a collaborative and inclusive process involving clients, user groups, local authorities, artists and consultants.
Through this collaborative approach, alternative perspectives are considered, with the whole team thinking beyond the physical constraints of a building or space.
This approach is continued though each stage of the project, from the initial meeting to final handover, ensuring a sense of ownership and pride is developed within the end-users of the building. Through our experience, we have learned that it helps to create better places.
“Electric Wharf has delivered modern, sensitive regeneration in a part of Coventry where courage was needed. This successful collaboration between informed client and talented architect has resulted in seeding a vision of how city living can be a positive experience. Bryant Priest Newman Architects have designed this award winning scheme understanding well how people want to live.”

Artists work with us through the concept stages, enabling a strong vision for our projects and offering an alternative viewpoint. This might also mean investigating history or culture of a building or site in different ways which contributes to our visions by challenging light, colour, shape or form; adding meaning to a project; helping to reveal a sense of place; and finding new ways to help others participate.
Artists including David Patten, Robert Colbourne and Stuart Mugridge have been involved in our projects from the conception stages and they have had a fundamental influence over the design outcome.
We’re big believers in the value that art can bring to a place or space, and part of our role as architects is to help our clients to believe in that value too. Through our projects, we can offer development opportunities for artists looking to expand their skills and knowledge of working in this field.
“artists reveal things that architects don’t always see”
