We are happy to report that our proposed scheme for 5 apartments in the Central Conservation Area of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire has been granted Planning Permission today.
The development site is located at the heart of the Lansdown Estate on Lansdown Walk which is characterised by large early 19th Century townhouses, with small mews houses set to the rear.
The plan references the historic layout of coach houses, with courtyards which were built to service the large townhouses on Lansdown Crescent and retains one of the buildings which fronts onto Lansdown Walk as one of the proposed apartments. The other four apartments are of a modernist style, simplistic in form with references to the 19th Century context through the use of proportions and rhythms in the elevations.
We are hoping to move forward with the construction phase shortly.
