We are very pleased to have received Planning and Listed Building consent for the proposed works taking place at the Standard Works building on the corner of Vittoria Street and Regents Place, in Birminghams Jewellery Quarter. The building is to be renovated and brought back into use as an Educational facility which will also provide a cafe, performance and exhibition space for the public to visit.
The Ruskin Mill Land Trust who are the client have an established portfolio of regenerating historic buildings. They are very keen to ensure the building remains rooted within the culture of the Jewellery Quarter by establishing links with local businesses.
If you are interested in the proposals and would like to go on a tour of the building before the renovation works start please follow the link to the Birmingham Conservation Trust organised event taking place on 14th June. Also, if you would like to offer your views on the proposals there is a questionnaire available to fill out online.
Watch this space for a bit more information on the proposals.
