Three.Jane Tudge Flyer. Page 1

The team that brought you Thrift Radiates Happiness is proud to announce the launch of our second artist Jane Tudge on the 7th November 2013.

Jane Tudge brings part of her waxworks of the banal, the significant and the insignificant to three Gallery. These quintessentially domestic works are part of an ongoing body of work which document the artist’s experiences and explore the fragile power of memory.

She is interested in how the memory works and in evoking memories, offering up objects as containers for recollection. Here she is showing clothing and textiles, taking inspiration from Louise Bourgeois who said ‘clothes are an exercise in memory’ as well as some pieces made especially for three.

She uses wax as her medium because of its contrary connotations of preservation and jeopardy, making what she calls ‘physical photograms’ as well as small sculptural works.

At the preview evening she will be preserving in wax traces of those present.

The show will remain at 3 Mary Street until 22nd November. To arrange a visit please email:
