I’ve recently been involved with pulling together the third Be2Camp “unconference” – this time it was Birmingham’s turn. The event took place on 12th August at Fazeley Studios in Digbeth with around 80 representatives from the construction industry and social media / creative industries.
Be2camp is the place for people interested in how the latest web applications and web design techniques (Web 2.0; eg: RSS, blogs, Twitter, Wikis, Google Maps) could help build a better, more sustainable built environment – from planning and design through construction to occupation and management of buildings, infrastructure, landscape, etc.
The Birmingham Post gave the event some coverage in the run up, and there’s an informative overview on Building including a 5 minute video of interviews and coverage from the event on the day.
The next Be2Camp event is planned to coincide with Working Buildings 2009 at London Olympia on October. Hope to see you there!
