The redevelopment of this Chiropractic Clinic in Solihull included making major changes to the existing building inside and out. Following the development of sketch schemes alongside employees at the clinic, a series of pre-application consultations were held with the Local Authority. Prior to our appointment, the Directors of the clinic had previously worked with a number of architects in developing schemes, which were refused planning permission. It was key to ensure that the Local Authority were supportive of the proposed extension and refurbishment of the clinic.
SCC is a local business and many of their clients live locally, therefore maintaining access to the services during construction phase was a key requirement for the Directors. We worked closely with the SCC management team and contractors to ensure the phasing of the construction work was carried out with minimal disruption to the services provided whilst ensuring health and safety risks and issue were managed.
