BPN Lego setBack in October, we started to put some thought to Christmas. Our in-house competition to design a card had reached its peak a few years ago and we had unwittingly started a tradition of sending out mildly humorous festive gifts in 2014 when we sent out a batch of nutcrackers, so the pressure was on. We knew that this year’s gifts needed to be sustainable, aesthetically pleasing, memorable and most of all, fun.

Well…. Christmas in the life of an architect wouldn’t be Christmas without the presence of Lego and we stumbled across a lovely festive lego design by a Lego superfan which was inspired by the Lego Imagine ad campaign a couple of years ago. We ordered the right number of bricks to make up several sets (did you know that lego now sell individual bricks and you can pick & mix to make up a set to a specific design?), and bagged them up into little santa sacks with some instructions inside.

Feedback has been very positive so far but our friend Martin over at PMP struggled a bit and accused us of removing some bricks in a Value Engineering (VE) exercise. An outrageous accusation (one which also made us laugh a lot):

Season’s Greetings to all our clients, consultants, friends and extended BPN Family. We hope you have a lovely Christmas and New Year!
