This weekend sees the first ever Jewellery Quarter Festival. Organisers have joined forces with the West Midlands Love Architecture festival and we’re taking part in the festival’s Open Studios event. We could just open our doors and show some lovely pictures of our projects… but we thought it would be a lot more fun to build a mini crazy golf course in the loading bay of our building, offer coffee and cake to visitors, and invite musicians to play live music for us.

So for one day only, on Saturday 18th July between 11am and 4pm, come and test your golf skills on our unique course*. Or come along to listen to some talented local musicians as they play some of their own music, and a few old favourites. Or just have a cup of coffee and chat to us about our work. Or do all 3 at the same time (you can multi-task, right?). Find us at 3 Mary Street (just off Caroline Street) B3 1UD.

Designing golf courses is new territory for us, but thanks the lovely people at Desso Flooring, our loading bay will be transformed into a spectacular grass-like space with their Palatino range of carpet. Base structures made out of Oriented Strand Board will provide a level playing area for each of the 3 putting holes, and our teams have been working into the night to create 3 unique (and in some cases, architecturally relevant) putting holes using whatever they could get their hands on, and *SPOILER WARNING* in the case of the team (hilariously) calling themselves The Under 31s, pallets, car tyres and guttering are proving to be quite useful…
