We went along to the Wychavon Design Awards on Friday evening where we picked up a Distinction in the Community Architecture category for Overbury School. The awards were presented by the Chairman of the Council, Councillor Lynne Duffy.
The building was described as ‘an outstanding contemporary design that respects the listed school building through the use of materials and contextual cues, that has also delivered a quality teaching and learning environment.’
A blue plaque was also presented which is to be installed on the building by the Overbury Estate. We’re delighted that the project has been recognised by the local authority. You can read about the project in more detail on the project page.
