Currently a number of BPN staff are studying Part 2 Masters in Architecture at Birmingham City University on a part-time basis. They all disappear on a Wednesday for a uni day – so to learn a bit about what they get up to we thought it would be a good idea to start to introduce some of their work on the blog – be it research, drawings, text etc.
On a search for information about the Victorian Arcade in Walsall, Katie rooted out the drawings above which were found in the following publication:
Arcades: The History of a Building Type by Johann Friedrich Geist (1936).
The images are only a selection as there are many more in the book which explore and document the various typologies of the Victorian Arcade.
